The Fourth Turning

I feel so fortunate that I had the opportunity to speak with March Wood, of the Washington D.C. Shambhala Center as well as Howard University Divinity School. In the interview below, she describes not only how she catalyzed Shambhala to send her classmates from the Howard University Divinity School to a weekend program at Karme Choling with Acharya Gaylon Ferguson, but also her conviction in the power of the Shambhala teachings to help the black community at this pivotal and turbulent point in human history.

  1. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Really powerful….so needed and so appreciated.

  2. Wow. I am stunned by March’s crystal clarity of mind. It’s enormously encouraging to witness your vision, as well as your doubtlessness. Being a DC Center member myself, I hope to meet you soon!
I love how you have made all our Shambhala keywords your own. You are channeling some deep drala over there! I’m excited to learn this evening about your mission, and feel energized by your analysis of anti-blackness.
Thanks to you, too, Carolyn, for introducing the cyber-sangha so vividly to March’s mind, her keen words, and her smile.
